12 from 2014

Well it’s nearly the end of the year again. 2014 seems to have gone quicker than all those before it, a symptom of getting older perhaps?

It’s been a hell of a year for me, massive upheaval at leaving my old job and emigrating with the family to New Zealand.

Moving from a city of over a million people to a town of around 50,000 has brought new subject challenges for me, gone are much of the gritty urban shots and urban dereliction which defined my style and content, and in have come more natural landscapes and seascapes, not subject matters with which I am totally comfortable, still it’s good to test yourself and put yourself outside your comfort zone.

Below is a selection of my favorite images taken in 2014, one from each month.

I would like to wish all my followers old and new a very Happy Christmas, and a healthy and prosperous New Year.

  1. A great selection of images and though I really like the landscapes I love your crow – perfect timing!
Maybe it is getting older, but like you, I don’t know where the year went ….

    1. Hi Noeline, the disappearing of time is quite scary to be honest. Thanks for the comments on my work through the years, I hope 2015 is a happy and successful year for you.

      All the best

      Russ
