This shot is from the base of the stairwell which featured in my last post. It was shot whilst I was laid on the floor looking directly up the center of the stairwell towards the roof light. The colours come from a mixed light source of fluorescent, LED, and daylight.

This amazing stairwell is inside a new art gallery which I visited at the weekend, unfortunately I hadn’t taken my camera with me, but suffice to say I spent more time looking at the awesome architecture of the building, than I did looking at the exhibitions.
I returned the next day to shoot the internal architecture. It was refreshing to have a member of the gallery staff come up to me and discuss the building and to give the OK to shooting inside.

My submission to the Daily Post Challenge on Symmetry
All shots taken at a petrochemical tank farm on Aucklands water front. There were SO many shots to be had here, so many different angles, shadows, colours and textures. It was a bright sunny day but the sun kept disappearing behind clouds which created different shadows almost continuously.
Add to that the many different ways I liked to process the final images created more image possibilities from one location than I have found before.
A return trip is a must.
Trying a different viewpoint for a well photographed subject.

2 shot composite, one of the window through the key hole, with the window in focus, and a second shot with the keyhole in focus, then the 2 shots were merged in CS6.
Te Rewa Rewa Bridge is a pedestrian bridge across the Waiwhakaiho River at New Plymouth, New Zealand
Mount Taranaki can be seen poking up out of the clouds in the background.
A little derelict house on a hill, looks haunting.
